PAA Fund Campaign Update
It was a pleasure to see many of you in New Orleans. I know you share my gratitude to those who made the annual meetings possible. Many of you travelled great distances to be with us, and I hope your return was as smooth as possible.
As I noted in the letter you received from me at registration, PAA is unique among professional associations. For many of us these meetings are not to be missed.
We celebrated a remarkable milestone in New Orleans – the formal end of our campaign to match the $1 million we were awarded by five distinguished foundations. We have now raised more than $775,000 from more than 1,000 PAA members who have made 1,700 donations. While we have closed the formal work of the campaign, I hope we will each continue to contribute to PAA so that our programs will remain strong.
Thanks to the efforts of Tom Merrick, those who attended the presidential address were able to watch a terrific video about what the campaign has meant to this organization. I hope you will take a look at it: http://youtu.be/Q8lPW2uXItw.
We also celebrated 10 new Honored Colleagues at the conference. Their profiles, pictures and the list of donors who gave in their honor will be posted on the PAA website. If you would like to contribute to any of these tributes or want to be sure your mentor or colleague is honored, please contact Eleanor Weis at firstname.lastname@example.org. There are 26 tributes currently in process.
Your generosity is making a difference at PAA. Thank you for your continued support.
