City of New York launches Student Data Challenge

The Student Data Challenge has been launched by the City of New York and Citymart, a challenge aiming to find the best model to predict school enrollment numbers at 1, 2 and 5 year increments. The most accurate models will receive a grant to continue development, while the overall winner will receive funding and the opportunity to work with the NYC Department of Education to project future public school student population trends and changes in communities. The deadline for pre-registration for round 1 is October 28 2016: www.nyc.gov/cfi/DOE/.
