The Network on Education, Biosocial Pathways, and Dementia in Diverse Populations, funded by the National Institute on Aging (R24AG077433), announces their upcoming Grant Proposal Workshop for Network members. The goal of the workshop is to provide feedback and mentoring to Network members on their planned NIA Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Dementias (ADRD) grant submissions to increase their funding success and encourage sustained commitment to unpacking the education—ADRD relationship. For any investigator, and especially for new investigators, proposal workshops are critical for successful grant proposals. Thus, investigators at any career stage are encouraged to participate in the workshop. To be eligible to participate, you must:
We will identify 2 ADRD researchers with experience serving on NIA study sections to review each proposal. For example, Network PIs, co-investigators, and external advisory board members (see table below) are among the pool of potential reviewers. In the December workshop, PIs will present one slide on their proposal (3 minutes; broad overview). Then, youwill receive feedback and take questions from the assigned reviewers and Network PIs, Co-Is, and Advisory Board members – who will have access to your submitted materials. The workshop will be held virtually via Zoom.
