New local group in the Washington metropolitan area for those working in, or just interested in, the population sciences:
Initial meeting is Thursday, Sept 11, 2025, at 5:00 PM, at the office of the Population Reference Bureau, 1111 19th Street NW, Suite 400, Washington DC, for a presentation by Prof. Liana Sayer on "Time Use Since COVID", followed by a lively discussion.
There will also be a brief discussion about future plans for monthly meetings and other events. Our hope is to create opportunities for interesting professional discussion of substance and methods in the population sciences, covering different levels of analysis and geographic regions, and the life course from birth to death. PRB has generously offered us a meeting space in their offices, conveniently located near the Farragut North Metro station.
