This is the second of two webinars from Assessment of National Institutes of Health (NIH) Research on Women's Health.
The National Academies is hosting two public webinars to highlight the persistent gaps in biomedical funding, research, and knowledge of diseases and conditions affecting women and girls. Breakthroughs to improve health and well-being for women and girls have lagged, in part, due to a lack of baseline understanding of basic sex-based differences in physiology. Researchers have an opportunity to bridge this gap and contribute to scientific understanding of how to prevent, diagnose, and treat conditions that are female specific, more common among women, or affect women differently.
