PSID Data User Training Workshop

June 13-17, 2022, VIRTUAL workshop hosted by ICPSR, University of Michigan

This virtual five-day workshop will orient participants to the content and structure of the Panel Study of Income Dynamics, its special topics modules, and the PSID Child Development Supplement and PSID Transition into Adulthood Supplement. The workshop pairs instructional sessions led by experienced PSID researchers and staff with guided lab sessions in which users construct their own analytic data files. New this year will be an orientation to the recently-released genomics data collected from children and primary caregivers in CDS-2014.

The virtual workshop will be held 10am-4pm EDT each day. Activities will be divided between recorded lecture content and live (virtual classroom) discussion and labs, allowing ample time for breaks. Additional office hours will be available to allow participants to meet with instructors individually. Course management will be through Canvas and class meetings will be held on Zoom.

The workshop is open to predoctoral students, postdoctoral fellows, college and university faculty, and professional researchers. Applications received by Monday, April 18 will be given priority for enrollment. There is a $100 workshop enrollment fee for admitted participants.
