Join us for a panel discussing groundbreaking work attempting to quantify and measure structural racism in demography.
Structural racism is a root cause of health inequities, but one of the challenges in structural racism scholarship is providing verifiable or quantifiable evidence of that relationship. A universal way of measuring structural racism does not exist, yet we are in need of valid, replicable and theoretically sound measures of structural racism that link evidence of its harm to population health. Join us for this panel where leading demographers will discuss ways to expand the definition and quantify specific aspects of structural racism as a driver of population health and health disparities.
