In Person Participation

Subway - $3 each way:  Take the Gold/Red line north to Peachtree Center Station.  The Atlanta Marriott Marquis is about 0.4 miles from the station.  You can navigate through the Peachtree Center to the Atlanta Marriott Marquis or you can exit to John Portman Blvd and walk outside.

Uber/Lyft:  You can expect to pay about $30 - $40 USD to travel from the airport to the hotel.  Details about utilizing these companies can be found here: https://www.atl.com/rideshare/. 

Taxi: A taxi stand is available at both the domestic and international arrival terminals.  Please follow the signs for ground transportation.

You can pick up your badge and meeting materials outside the Marquis Ballroom.  This is a two-step process.  First, you will stop at the vaccine verification desk.  The staff will confirm that your name is on the vaccine verification list or you will show the entry stamp on your passport.  You will receive a ticket once your status is confirmed.  Then, you will go to one of the badge and meeting material pick-up stations to get your badge and materials.

Sessions:  The room will be set up in the usual theatre style with some social distancing measures put in place and some logistical changes to accommodate the hybrid format.  Chairs, presenters, and discussants will sit in seats reserved for them in the front row.  (There is not a head table to avoid packing 6 people at one table.)  There is a podium at the front of the room that all presenters will speak from.  A stationary camera will be focused on the podium to broadcast the presenter to those attending virtually along with their presentation.  Presenters may present with or without a mask.  Regardless, all presenters should quickly wipe down the podium and microphone at the conclusion of their talks.

Both in-person and virtual attendees will be strongly encouraged to submit questions through the app.  More details will be provided when the app is available for download.

Posters: All poster presenters will upload their posters to the meeting app.  Some posters will also be presented in person.  Please visit the exhibit hall for more information.  

We strongly encourage you to isolate yourself in your room until you are able to take a rapid COVID-19 test.  PAA has a limited number of rapid tests available.  To request a test, please email paaonsite@popassoc.org. If you are staying at the Atlanta Marriott Marquis, we will ask the hotel to deliver a test to your room.  If you are staying offsite, please visit the registration desk to pick the test up.  If PAA is out of tests, there is a CVS Pharmacy located less than a block away at 235 Peachtree Center Street.
