The Initiative in Social Genomics and La Follette School of Public Affairs invites paper proposals for The Advances in Social Genomics Conference Series (TAGC) to be held live June 5-7, 2024 on the campus of the University of Wisconsin­-Madison. Researchers from any of the biological or social sciences are encouraged to submit papers for consideration.

The goal of this conference is to showcase scholarship that considers biodemographic factors across the life course that shape health and aging processes. The conference will include a training workshop focused on the Midlife in the United States (MIDUS) data and applications, keynote presentations, and a set of paper presentations.

To be considered for this conference, please submit a complete paper, a working draft, or an extended abstract (including data description, methods, and preliminary results) as a .pdf file by March 15, 2024. There is no conference registration fee. Please forward attached call for papers to others who may be interested. Funding is available for travel/accommodations of selected papers. The La Follette School is the new host of the Initiative in Social Genomics, one of the world’s largest and most innovative collaboratives in the emerging field of social genomics which integrates social science and genetic research to study how genes are linked with human behavior and socio-economic outcomes, how genes and environments interact, and how social conditions can influence humans all the way down to the molecular level.
