There are several categories of membership. All categories have voting rights in PAA elections and access to full member benefits.

Regular Membership

For those engaged or who support the work of demography and population research. Regular members can join for one, two, or three year terms. Join now.

Early-Career Membership

This category is for those who have received their Masters, PhD, or similar degree within the last 5 years and do not qualify for the student membership category. You can join for one, two, or three year terms. Additionally, you can add an Applied Demography group membership to your membership. Join now.

Student Membership

All currently enrolled full-time students are eligible for a student membership. Join now.

Emeritus Membership

Those who have paid membership dues for 15 years and are retired from full time employment are eligible for Emeritus membership. Join now.

Citizen/Resident of a Low-Income Country Membership

Citizens or residents of low-income countries are eligible for membership at a discounted rate. Membership dues may not be paid by a grant and the applicant may not receive an international salary. Renew Your Membership

  1. Log into My Dashboard.
  2. At the top under Membership, dropdown to select renew.
  3. Select your open invoice. (Choose an optional Applied Demography subgroup membership for $5.) 
  4. Once in your shopping cart, make sure everything is correct. Scroll down to Payment Options.
  5. Enter your payment information and submit.
