What is the Future of Behavioral Economics and Public Policy?

Behavioral economics, which integrates insights from psychology and economics, has had a growing influence on research and policy. NASEM's recently released consensus report Behavioral Economics: Policy Impact and Future Directions offers an overview of the field’s history and core principles, evidence-based strategies for policy and practice, guidance for strengthening the field and supporting the implementation of tested ideas in real-world settings, and directions for future research.

This webinar will feature a 20 minute presentation from Stefano DellaVigna (University of California, Berkeley, and member of the authoring committee for the report) sharing key takeaways from the report. Following the presentation, Katy Milkman (University of Pennsylvania, and member of the National Academies’ Board on Behavioral, Cognitive, and Sensory Sciences) will engage Stefano in a dialogue about his presentation and then will moderate 15 minutes of audience Q&A.

When:  Sep 29, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 12:45 PM (ET)
