The Center for Retirement Research at Boston College is accepting applications to the Steven H. Sandell Grant Program (supporting a junior or non-tenured scholar) and the Dissertation Fellowship Program (supporting a Ph.D. candidate). These programs are funded by the U.S. Social Security Administration.
2024 Steven H. Sandell Grant Program
- Provides the opportunity for a junior or non-tenured scholar to pursue a project on retirement and disability policy. The program is open to scholars in all academic disciplines.
- One grant of $50,000 will be awarded for one-year projects.
- The submission deadline for grant proposals is April 30, 2024.

2024 Dissertation Fellowship Program
- Supports a doctoral candidate writing a dissertation on retirement and disability policy. The program is open to scholars in all academic disciplines.
- One fellowship of $28,000 will be awarded.
