
As we shared earlier this summer, PAA 2025 is scheduled for Thursday, April 10 to Sunday, April 13. This is a shift from our typical Wednesday – Saturday pattern and, most regrettably, conflicts with the beginning of Passover. This is a one-time anomaly due to the unforeseen closing of the original venue, Marriott Wardman Park, in late 2022. Our usual practice is to keep to the Wednesday – Saturday pattern and avoid spring religious holidays. For a more in-depth explanation, please read this previous post.
We are making some changes to the PAA 2025 program to better facilitate participation for everyone:
- The Awards Ceremony will be held at the Welcome Mixer on Thursday evening to honor our award recipients.
- We are working with the hotel to hold the Presidential Address earlier during the meeting. We will provide details once we have confirmed the arrangements.
- We will collate and publish a list of venues in DC where it is possible to celebrate a Passover Seder.
While we will continue to explore ways to make PAA 2025 more accommodating, we welcome your ideas or input. Please email Danielle Staudt, PAA Executive Director, with any ideas or feedback you have.
