The Center for Retirement Research at Boston College is accepting applications to the Steven H. Sandell Grant Program (supporting junior or non-tenured scholars) and the Dissertation Fellowship Program (supporting Ph.D. candidates). These programs are funded by the U.S. Social Security Administration.
2025 Steven H. Sandell Grant Program
- Provides the opportunity for junior or non-tenured scholars to pursue a project on retirement and disability policy. The program is open to scholars in all academic disciplines.
- Two grants of $50,000 will be awarded for one-year projects.
- The submission deadline for grant proposals is January 31, 2025

2025 Dissertation Fellowship Program
- Supports doctoral candidates writing a dissertation on retirement and disability policy. The program is open to scholars in all academic disciplines.
- Two fellowships of $28,000 will be awarded.
