The Editorial Board of Demographic Research is pleased to announce an open call for a limited number of Associate Editor positions, with commitments beginning in mid-June / July 2025. Scholars from around the globe with demonstrated expertise across a broad range of demographic research areas are encouraged to apply. These include formal and social demography, family demography, health and mortality, migration, historical demography, demographic methods and/or projections, causes and consequences of demographic change, etc. Applicants should have a strong publication record in leading journals in demography or closely related disciplines, as well as significant experience with peer review. Prior editorial experience is welcome but not required. Applications from countries currently underrepresented on the Editorial Board are especially welcome. To apply, please submit the following documents to applications@demographic-research.org by May 31, 2025:
- A brief curriculum vitae (up to 3 pages)
- A list of publications
- A statement of intent (maximum 500 words), outlining your area(s) of demographic expertise, your motivation for joining the Editorial Board, and any relevant experience in reviewing and/or editorial work.
