Call for Applications: Master’s in Demography (2026–2028 Cohort)
The Master's in Demography is a full-time, in-person academic program offered by the Centre for Demographic, Urban, and Environmental Studies (CEDUA) at El Colegio de México. It is a pioneering program in its field in Mexico and Latin America, focused on research-oriented training in demographic dynamics, including its causes and consequences. Since it belongs to the National Postgraduate System of the Mexican Secretariat of Science, Humanities, Technology, and Innovation (SECIHTI, for its name in Spanish), all students receive a stipend. Accepted students need to apply directly to SECIHTI for this scholarship.
The Master's in Demography program provides rigorous training in advanced theoretical and methodological tools for demographic analysis, as well as statistical techniques for the scientific study of population. It also promotes a deep understanding of demographic thinking and the main sociodemographic theories.

Eligibility: Candidates from all nationalities, with a strong background in demography, statistics, mathematics, actuarial sciences, social sciences, public health, or related disciplines, are encouraged to apply.

Call for Applications: PhD in Population Studies (2026–2030 Cohort)
The PhD in Population Studies is a full-time, in-person academic program offered by the Centre for Demographic, Urban, and Environmental Studies (CEDUA) at El Colegio de México. It is the first doctoral program in Population Studies in Mexico and one of the few in Latin America designed to train scholars in this field. The program prepares scientists capable of generating knowledge on population dynamics and their relationships with economic, social, environmental, and cultural processes, through the theoretical and methodological frameworks of demography, social sciences, and population studies. Since it belongs to the National Postgraduate System of the Mexican Secretariat of Science, Humanities, Technology, and Innovation (SECIHTI, for its name in Spanish), all students receive a stipend. Accepted students need to apply directly to SECIHTI for this scholarship.
