Mental Health Care As A Public Safety Tool

A discussion bringing researchers and practitioners together to discuss the public safety impacts of providing mental health care to high-risk groups before and during engagement with the criminal justice system. The event will explore health care’s role at a series of intervention points, including providing mental health care to high-risk youth as a crime prevention tactic, strategies for addressing mental health challenges within the justice system, and the importance of health care access at reentry.
