The U.S. National Science Foundation invites you to attend a Q&A discussion for the NSF Pathways to Enable Secure Open-Source Ecosystems (NSF PESOSE) program on Tuesday, July 21 1-2 pm ET.
The NSF PESOSE program helps translate open-source research products, including software, hardware, machine learning models, languages and data platforms, into safe and sustainable ecosystems that address national and societal challenges. The program also promotes strong governance, collaborative development and broad engagement across academia, industry and government. Additionally, the program aims to enhance the safety, security, and privacy of open-source ecosystems by addressing key vulnerabilities and improving resilience against threats.
This interactive Q&A session is designed for participants to engage directly with NSF program directors and ask questions about the PESOSE program. Please come prepared with questions that would benefit from real‑time discussion during the webinar. While we'll address as many inquiries as possible, we'll prioritize questions that go beyond the transactional details already outlined in the solicitation.
Before joining the webinar, we recommend that you:
- Review the solicitation and the PESOSE website.
- Review the presentation slides and view a recording of the "Introduction to the PESOSE program" webinar on the NSF YouTube channel.
- Bring your questions on the day of the Q&A session or submit them when you register.
- Submit any specific questions related to your project proposal directly to PESOSE@nsf.gov with the subject line: "Project-Specific Proposal Questions."
We invite you to share the Zoom link with colleagues you think may be interested in attending the webinar and subscribe to the PESOSE mailing list for future updates.
